What is Ondo?

Ondo is a project that brings assets such as US Treasuries and stocks on-chain as tokens, and ONDO is the governance token used to vote in the Ondo DAO.

Ondo was built by a US company founded in 2021 by Nathan Allman, who previously worked on the Goldman Sachs Digital Assets team. The token supply is set at 10 billion with no scheduled inflation. ONDO is issued on Ethereum, and on January 18, 2024 a DAO vote lifted its transfer restrictions, allowing the token to move freely.
