Aster is a decentralized exchange for perpetual futures on crypto, stocks and commodities, and staking its ASTER token with validators earns rewards.

Aster was formed by combining APX Finance, a perpetual-futures venue, with Astherus, a yield platform, and its token was released on 17 September 2025, when APX holders could exchange into ASTER. Allocations total 8 billion ASTER; 99% of daily platform fees buy ASTER back for stakers, an equal amount is burned from reserve, and burns continue until total supply reaches 3 billion. Aster also runs its own chain, Aster Chain.
